Chassis
For Sale.
German Chassis, Ready to Build.
Well over 100 chassis in stock, plus a vast inventory of German chassis parts — bulkheads, tunnel sections, torsion housings, and more. All out of our own shop in Orange, CA.
One of the largest chassis stockpiles around.
With over 100 chassis on site and available for sale, it's a sight to see — and, without exaggeration, one of the largest chassis collections around.
Alongside the chassis themselves, we carry a vast inventory of German chassis parts — the pieces that make a rusted-out chassis worth saving:

Questions we get before you drive out.
Can I buy a chassis and have you restore it too?
Yes, and that is the most common way this goes. Pick a chassis out of the yard, then hand it straight to the shop for a flat-rate rebuild. Our chassis work page lists exactly what the flat rate covers by platform, from $2,350 for a 1955–1972 Type 1 up to $4,050 for a shortened Manx, 356 kit car or dune buggy pan.
How long does a rebuild take once I've bought the chassis?
Thirty days or less once your build starts. Chassis are built in the order they are received, so the wait before we start depends on what is in the queue ahead of you. Call and we'll tell you honestly where the queue stands that week.
What will the whole thing cost?
The chassis itself is quoted per unit, because condition and platform vary. For the build on top of it, the chassis build estimate calculator lets you click through base build, pan sections, modifications, fabrication add-ons and finish, and emails the itemised total to us so we can confirm it.
I'm out of state. Can you ship a chassis to me?
Chassis get shipped in and out of here regularly. A bare pan is light and small enough that it often moves more like freight than like a car, which usually costs less. Our bare-pan shipping reference covers the weight and dimensions a carrier will ask for, the difference between an auto-transport quote and an LTL freight quote, and where to get both.
Do you sell individual chassis parts, not whole chassis?
Yes. Alongside the chassis themselves we carry German chassis parts — bulkheads, tunnel sections, torsion housings, frame heads, floor pans, battery trays and heater channels. If the piece you need is not in our online parts selection, call and we can harvest it from the bone yard and ship it to your door.
Will you buy my chassis?
Possibly. Send the year, make and model, location, condition, asking price, whether it has a title, and a few photos, and we'll come back to you with a straight answer.
