Get paid to handle the parts that keep air-cooled VWs and Porsches on the road. A long-term, full-time path in a real restoration shop in Orange, CA, for someone who wants to build a career in the air-cooled world.

has our name on it.
Our parts department ships restored German OEM parts, performance upgrades and our own Washburn's Originals to air-cooled owners across the country. You'll handle those parts from the moment you take them off an original car or they arrive on a pallet to the moment they land on a customer's doorstep.
If you're enthusiastic about air-cooled VWs, you'll fit right in. If you're still learning, that's what we're here for. What matters most is that you care about getting it right.
Disassemble
Carefully take apart original cars and parts, keeping hardware organized and labeled so nothing gets lost.
Clean, sort & inspect
Clean parts up, check condition and identify what they fit.
Organize & maintain
Organize the parts rooms and parts inventory so everything is labeled, shelved and easy to find, and keep the walk-in retail lobby in shape.
Pack, ship & deliver
Pick and pack orders so they arrive right and on time, and run local parts pickups and drop-offs.
Show up. Pay attention.
Do it right.
- Reliability. On time, every scheduled shift. If something comes up, you tell us early.
- Shipping deadlines met. Orders ship when we say they will.
- Attention to detail. The right part, the right label, the right box.
- Mechanical curiosity. Comfortable with hand tools and figuring out how parts fit together.
- Real interest in air-cooled VW and/or Porsche.
- In it for the long haul. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us, not a short-term gig.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in a working shop
- Valid driver's license and able to drive to pick up and drop off parts
- Live in close proximity to our Orange, CA shop, with reliable transportation
- 18 or older
A real start in the

- $18–$20/hour to start, based on experience.
- Raises as your experience and efficiency grow.
- Full-time or part-time to start for the right applicant, weekdays 9–5.

We've been doing air-cooled chassis restoration, bare metal restorations and parts in Orange since 2017. We're small by design, so the work you do is seen and it counts. You'll be around Beetles, Buses, Ghias, 356s and 911s every day.
