AC Industries Rear Wide-5 Disc Brake Kit with E-Brake — 5x205 Zero Offset, IRS (113698601DE)

AC Industries rear Wide-5 disc brake conversion for independent rear suspension (IRS) Volkswagens. It is the bolt-on companion to the AC Industries Wide-5 front disc kits, completing a fully matched 5x205mm four-wheel disc setup with a built-in emergency brake. Zero offset keeps your rear track at stock width.

Vehicle Fitment

Fits short-spline IRS axles. Also works on fiberglass buggies and replica cars running the same short-spline IRS. Requires 15" or larger wheels; will not clear longer/wider-than-stock IRS trailing arms. For 1973-and-later long-spline IRS, use the long-spline version instead.

Parts You May Need

This kit ships without plumbing, studs, or a master cylinder:

• (2) Stainless braided brake hoses: AC #211611775BSS, to plumb the rear calipers.
• (2) 25" metal brake lines: AC #113611764B, to complete the rear hardline plumbing.
• Four-wheel-disc master cylinder: #113611020BAD (’49–’77 Bug, Ghia & Thing) or #113611020BHD (’71–’79 Super Beetle).
• Screw-in wheel studs, 14mm: these rotors are drilled/tapped, so press-in studs will not work.
