Bilstein B8 Front Strut Insert — Lowered, Inner Thread, 1505/1160 | Porsche 911/912/914/930 (97-4054-0)
The Bilstein B8 performance front strut insert for vintage Porsche 911, 912, 914, and 930 — tuned for lowered cars. Inner Threaded Strut Tube, 1505/1160 setting. The B8 valving is matched to shortened-stroke applications — use this if you've dropped the front of your car and a stock-length B6 would top or bottom out.
Vehicle Fitment
- Porsche 911: 1965–1989
- Porsche 912: 1965–1969 and 1976
- Porsche 914: 1970–1976
- Porsche 930 (911 Turbo): 1978–1979
- Configuration: Inner Threaded Strut Tube — 1505/1160 Setting — for lowered vehicles
Identifying your strut tube: The four EMPI strut insert variants for these chassis differ by (1) inner vs. outer threaded strut tube, (2) damper setting (2015/755 vs. 1505/1160), and (3) Euro vs. US version. Confirm the configuration on your car before ordering — using the wrong insert is the most common mistake on these chassis.
- 97-4051-0 — Inner threaded, 2015/755, Euro w/o spacer

Why Choose Bilstein?
The B8 is Bilstein's monotube design valved for shortened-stroke applications. On a lowered air-cooled Porsche, B8 prevents the bottoming and topping issues you'd otherwise get with a stock-length B6, while still delivering Bilstein's signature damping quality.
