The oil pressure warning lamp is your last quiet word before bearings starve, and a dead sender means the dash stays dark while pressure falls away. This is the correct switch that grounds the stock indicator light the instant oil pressure drops too low, threaded into the factory sender port on a broad run of air-cooled Porsche.
