EMPI x Foose Design Rear Wing — 14-Gauge T-6061 Aluminum, Type 1 Beetle

EMPI collaborated with legendary automotive designer Chip Foose on this all-new EMPI Exclusive rear wing — a modern reimagining of the no-longer-available "Herrod Helper" wing that adds real aero functionality and head-turning style to any Type 1 Beetle.

The wing and support elements are laser-cut and precision-bent from 14-gauge T-6061 aluminum to be lightweight and rigid. Designed for high-speed stability and rear-end downforce, the integrated Gurney flap adds downforce while TIG-welded end plates direct air over the wing element. TIG-welded aluminum stand-offs mount the leading edge away from the body so cooling air reaches the engine unimpeded.
