Ask an expert

The JP-1908-0 is the pressed steel bowl that sits in the left front fender and surrounds the fuel filler — supplied without the flap, for 1965–1968 Porsche 911. It is a JP Group (Dansk) weld-in steel reproduction, stamped in Denmark to the factory profile.

What is the JP-1908-0?

It is the pressed steel bowl that sits in the left front fender and surrounds the fuel filler — supplied without the flap. JP Group of Denmark stamps it in steel to the original factory profile, and it is sold in the US under the Dansk name. US shops also list this part as a filler neck housing, fuel flap bowl, filler pot — all the same panel.

Years Models
1965–1968 Porsche 911

The 1965–1969 Porsche 912 shares the same front fender structure and this housing is expected to fit. Send us your chassis details before ordering and we will confirm.

Why this panel fails

The filler bowl is a classic rust trap: fuel spillage and trapped water sit in the bottom of it, and it rots the fender from the inside out.

What this is not

This is not the filler flap, hinge or cap — those are separate parts.

Part numbers and cross-references

  • Brand: JP Group (sold as Dansk in the United States)
  • Country of origin: Denmark

How is it installed?

This is a weld-in restoration panel. It is cut in and welded by a qualified body shop or an experienced fabricator using standard MIG or spot-welding technique. Trial-fit and clamp before you cut the original out — on a rusty car the surrounding structure has usually moved, and the new panel is your reference for putting it back where the factory had it.

Common questions

Is the JP-1908-0 genuine Porsche or a reproduction?
It is an aftermarket reproduction made by JP Group of Denmark, built to match the factory panel's fit and profile. It is not a genuine Porsche OEM part, and it is priced accordingly.

Does it come primed or painted?
It ships bare or lightly protected depending on the batch, ready for you to prep, seam seal and paint. Plan on your own primer and paint.

Do I need one or two?
One per car unless your repair calls for more.

How do I know it is the right panel for my chassis?
Send us your VIN or model year before you order. We would rather answer a question than process a return on a panel that has already been cut.
