- Will this fit my year Bug? Yes — fits all Beetles 1960–1979, including swing-axle and IRS models. Works with the original German shift rod hanger and quality aftermarket hangers.
- How is this different from rubber or nylon bushings? Rubber bushings compress and tear; nylon swells with heat. Virgin Delrin® stays dimensionally stable for the life of the part — your shifter feels the same in year 10 as it does on day one.
- Do I need any other parts to install it? No. The Snap-Lock design eliminates retainer clips and safety wire. We recommend a touch of dry graphite lube — that's it.
- What if my shift rod hanger is worn out? If the hanger is distorted, the bushing won't snap tight. Replace the hanger first — we sell quality replacement hangers.
