Frequently Asked Questions
Which 911s does this fit?
The supplier catalogue lists it for the 1969–1973 Porsche 911 Coupe, right rear, with 2.0L, 2.2L and 2.4L engines. It is not listed for the Targa or for 1974 and later cars.
Which side is this?
Right rear, the passenger side on a left-hand-drive car. It is handed. The left side is JP-1840-0.
Is this a full quarter panel?
No. It is a repair section for the quarter panel, without the door jamb and without the tail light holder. If your damage extends into those areas you will need to repair them separately or use a fuller panel.
What does '1st press' mean here?
It identifies this version of the panel in the supplier catalogue, which describes it as 'repair panel for quarter panel without door jamb and tail light holder, 1st press, right'.
Is welding required?
Yes. It is a steel weld-in panel and should be fitted by a qualified body shop or experienced fabricator.
Where should I cut the old quarter?
That depends on how far the rust or damage goes. Trial-fit the new section, mark your cut lines on sound metal, and keep the door jamb and tail light area in mind because this section does not include them. Measure the body before cutting.
What numbers does it cross-reference?
JP Group 1680401080 and supplier reference 591050HF. Numbers are for reference only.
