Replace worn, rusted or missing cooling tin with this EMPI Rear Engine Tin for air-cooled VW Type 1 engines. This is the plain version of the large rear pulley tin — supplied without heat riser cut-outs and without heater hose holes — so it seals the engine bay off cleanly for builds that have deleted the heat riser and heater hoses entirely.

The rear tin fits between the apron and above the exhaust, closing off the gap behind the pulley. Without it, hot exhaust air recirculates straight back up into the fan shroud instead of exiting under the car, which drives up head and oil temperatures. Finished in black to match the rest of the EMPI engine tin family.
