Why It Matters
It is the 4-lug counterpart of EMPI's Chevy-to-wide-five adapter, used on Bajas and street Beetles running American-pattern wheels. Direction: wheel 5x4.75 Chevy, hub 4x130 VW. EMPI sells replacement studs for it: a standard stud (00-9588-0) and an offset stud (00-9580-0).
Install Notes
- Clean the hub face so the adapter sits flat.
- Torque hub-side and wheel-side hardware to the vehicle's factory wheel spec; re-check after 50 miles.
- Check brake, suspension and fender clearance before driving; adapters move the wheel outward.
