Why It Matters
This is the classic hot-rod and buggy adapter: it opens up the huge selection of Chevy-pattern wheels for a wide-five VW. Direction: wheel 5x4.75 Chevy, hub 5x205 VW. At about 1 inch thick it widens track noticeably, so check fender and steering clearance.
Install Notes
- Clean the hub face so the adapter sits flat.
- Torque hub-side and wheel-side hardware to the vehicle's factory wheel spec; re-check after 50 miles.
- Check brake, suspension and fender clearance before driving; adapters move the wheel outward.
Frequently Asked Questions

- Which side is the wheel side? The Chevy 5x4.75 face; the adapter bolts to the VW 5x205 hub.
- Does it fit a 4-lug VW? No. For 4x130 cars use EMPI 00-9504-0.
- How thick is it? 26.55 mm, about 1 inch, so the wheel moves out that much.
