Traditional and aftermarket shrouds are often imbalanced, sending more air to the passenger side (cylinders 1 & 2) while the driver side (cylinders 3 & 4) runs hot. EMPI engineers used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to redesign the internal fins, correcting this imbalance for consistent temperatures across the entire motor.
