King Performance Titanium M8 x 1.25 Nuts — Grade 5, Pack of 10
M8 x 1.25 is the thread you find all over an air-cooled Volkswagen: fender and running-board hardware, gas tank straps, pan bolts, brackets and accessory mounts. King Performance makes a family of forged Grade 5 titanium nuts in that thread so you can finish a build with hardware that will not rust, weighs a fraction of steel and still looks clean after years of washing, mud and road salt. This listing brings the whole M8 range together in one place so you can pick the head style that suits the job.
Choose your style
- 10mm OD Locking, Raw — compact 6-point locking nut with a 10mm outside diameter, natural titanium finish.
- 10mm OD Locking, Black PVD — the same compact locking nut with King's black PVD coating.
- 13mm OD Locking — 6-point locking nut with a larger 13mm outside diameter.
- 6-Point (10mm Hex) — conventional 6-point nut that takes a 10mm wrench or socket.
- 12-Point — 12-point head for a clean, race-hardware look and tight-clearance access.
Vehicle fitment
These are universal M8 x 1.25 fasteners. They suit any air-cooled VW — Beetle, Super Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Bus / Type 2, Type 3 and Thing — as well as dune buggies, Baja Bugs, sand rails and off-road cars built on VW running gear, anywhere the stud or bolt is M8 x 1.25. Check the thread on your stud before ordering; older and aftermarket parts sometimes use other sizes.

Installation notes
- Always use anti-seize on titanium threads — titanium can gall against steel studs.
- Tighten by hand tools, evenly and progressively. King lists 36–38 N·m; never exceed the torque rating of the stud or the part being clamped, which on thin sheet-metal and tin joints is far lower.
- Use a clean, correctly sized socket (six-point for the 6pt styles, twelve-point for the 12pt) to protect the head.
- Re-check fasteners after the first drive and after off-road use.
FAQ
How many nuts come in a pack?
Ten nuts of the style you select.
What thread are they?
All styles are M8 x 1.25, the common 8mm fine-pitch VW thread.
Which style should I buy?
Use a locking nut where vibration could back a nut off, the 6-point where you want a standard 10mm wrench size, and the 12-point for a race-hardware look or tight spaces.
Do I need anti-seize?
Yes. King calls for anti-seize on all titanium hardware.
Are there matching bolts and washers?
Yes — see King's 22-piece titanium 8mm x 1.25 12-point bolt kit and the titanium flat washers in 8mm and 10mm ID.
Can I order more than 10?
Yes. Add multiple packs to your cart, or contact us for a bulk quote.
