King Performance VW Titanium Trans Kit — Axle Nuts, Horn Bolts & Spring Plate Bolts in Grade 5 Titanium
Swapping the hardware around the back of a VW one piece at a time gets expensive and leaves you with a mix of finishes. The King Performance VW Titanium Trans Kit bundles the key rear fasteners into one box: PVD-coated titanium axle nuts, the two transmission cross-brace (horn) bolts, and a full set of 12-point flanged spring plate bolts and nuts. Everything is Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) with hot-forged, rolled threads — and King rates the horn bolts at roughly half the weight of the stock steel parts.
Vehicle Fitment
- VW Beetle and Super Beetle with IRS rear suspension (1969–1979; also 1968 Autostick).
- VW Karmann Ghia with IRS rear suspension (1969–1974).
- The horn bolts and axle nuts also suit swing-axle cars, but the six-bolt/six-nut spring plate set is laid out for IRS. If you are unsure which rear end you have, send us a photo before ordering.

Installation Notes
- Always use anti-seize on titanium threads — King's standing instruction for all of its titanium hardware.
- Support the car safely and follow the factory service procedure for the spring plates, axle nuts and transmission mounts; spring plates are under load.
- Torque every fastener to the factory specification for your model and recheck after the first drive. Hand tools and a calibrated torque wrench only — no impact guns on titanium.
