What's Included:

• BDL-OC-36HP — VW 36HP 1200cc oil change kit: oil strainer screen, strainer plate gasket, drain plug gaskets, and all sealing washers (specific to Beetle 1954–1960 & Split Window Bus 1955–1960)
• 3x Valvoline VR1 SAE 30 — 1 quart each (3 quarts total) — High-zinc, flat-tappet-safe conventional racing oil

Why VR1 SAE 30?

Air-cooled VW engines are pushrod, flat-tappet designs that require elevated ZDDP (zinc/phosphorus) levels for proper cam and lifter protection. VR1 SAE 30 delivers 2X more zinc than standard oils — exactly what these vintage engines need. SAE 30 is the factory-correct viscosity for the 36HP engine.

Engine Oil Capacity: ~2.5 quarts (3 quarts included for a complete drain-and-fill with a small reserve)
