Why It Matters
Original early 911 mufflers are long gone on most cars; they rust from the inside out and blow at the seams. On a 1967 car being restored to original, the wrinkled tail pipe and flat chrome roll tip are details judges and buyers look for. Our existing Dansk 92.210OE suits 1965–1973 cars in general; this is the early-specific version.
The aluminized steel body and ceramic deadening give a factory sound and long life. JP Group is a Danish maker of replacement and reproduction parts for classic Porsche and Volkswagen, and its Dansk and SSI lines cover hard-to-find Porsche exhaust and body parts. EMPI is JP Group's US distributor. Washburn's Metal in Orange, California lists each part with its real OE and JP Group reference numbers so you can check it against your car before you order.
Installation Notes
- Fit new muffler gaskets and clamps at the heat exchanger joints.
- Hang the muffler loosely, align the tail pipe in the valance cut-out, then tighten evenly.
- The grey paint cures on the first heat cycles; expect some smoke and smell at first.
- Check for leaks once hot.
