The venturi is where a carburetor takes the pulse of the air, and a smaller throat reads it sharper. This EMPI 27mm main venturi (44-1104-0) quickens air velocity through an EMPI D Series carburetor, drawing a crisp low-rpm signal on smaller-displacement engines.
