EMPI Billet-Look Aluminum Running Boards — Satin Black, Polished Edge, Pair (15-3018-0)

Stock rubber-over-steel running boards rot from the inside, and the rubber peels off them. EMPI 15-3018-0 replaces both sides with thick extruded aluminum boards in satin black, with a polished edge for a vintage look.

The satin black keeps them from looking like a chrome catalog part, and the polished edge picks up the trim line of the car. Because they are aluminum under a powder coat, they won't rust. They come as a left and right pair with the mounting hardware.

Installation Notes

• Loosen the front and rear fender bolts nearest the board before you fit it. That gives you room to slide the board into the fender lips.
• Put new fender beading in at the same time. Old beading that is cracked will stop the board from sitting flush.
• Test-fit each board before you tighten anything. Some cars need a small trim at the ends for a clean line.
• Tighten the body-side hardware last, then re-snug the fender bolts.
