EMPI 00-3170-0 is the throttle-only cable shortening kit. Cut the inner cable to the length your build needs, and the kit finishes the cut end so it doesn't fray. Installation Notes

• Route the cable through the tunnel and the engine-bay guide tube first, with the pedal hooked up.
• With the pedal on the floor and the carburetor at wide-open throttle, mark where the cable needs to end, and leave a little extra.
• Cut cleanly with proper cable cutters (not pliers), fit the kit per EMPI's instructions, then check the throttle snaps back to idle.
• Road-test before you trim the last of the excess. You can always cut shorter, but you can't add length back.
