EMPI Universal Electric Windshield Washer Kit — 12V (15-2060-0)

The stock VW washer runs on air from the spare tire. When the spare is low, the washer doesn't work, usually when you need it. EMPI 15-2060-0 replaces that with a 12-volt electric pump built into a see-through reservoir, with the mounting hardware and wiring included.

You press the switch and it sprays, and you can see the fluid level through the reservoir. It is a universal kit, so it goes into a Beetle, Bus, Type 3 or a 12-volt buggy without a model-specific bracket.

Installation Notes

• Pick a mounting spot you can reach to fill it, away from the exhaust and hot engine parts. Under the front hood works well on a Bug or Ghia.
• Fuse the pump feed and use a momentary switch, so the pump never runs dry.
• Run the hose to your existing nozzles with no kinks. Test the spray before you close everything up.
• Use washer fluid, not plain water, if the car sees freezing weather. Ice will crack the reservoir and the pump.
