A 7-inch billet crank pulley built the way the classic Auto-Craft pulleys were, with the materials and machining available now. F2 Performance Supply designed this one with the enthusiast in mind and cut no corners on design, performance or durability — 6061-T6511 aluminum, black anodized, spinning on a heat-treated 4340 alloy steel hub.

The detail you will appreciate every time the engine is out: 360 degrees of laser-etched timing marks around the circumference, with the F2 logo at TDC. No guessing, no taping a protractor to the case, no squinting at a single notch. Setting timing and degreeing a cam both get faster.

Two Hub Versions

• Factory Hub — drops in as a direct replacement for a stock pulley.
• Sand Sealed Hub — for off-road and dusty environments, sealing the crank snout against grit.

Important: the sand-sealed version requires additional machining to the engine case to accept the #17231 SKF seal. Plan for that work before you order it.

• Which hub do I need? Factory hub for a normal street engine — it replaces the stock pulley directly. Sand sealed if you run dust, sand or off-road, and are prepared to have the case machined.
• What machining does the sand-sealed version need? The case has to be cut to accept the #17231 SKF seal. This is not a bolt-on; have it done by a machinist familiar with air-cooled VW cases.
• Is the SKF seal included? The listing does not include the seal — source the #17231 alongside the machining work.
• Does bolt finish change anything mechanically? No. Black oxide and stainless ARP bolts are a cosmetic choice at the same price.
• Why 7 inches? A stock-diameter pulley keeps accessory speeds where the factory intended. The 7" size follows the classic Auto-Craft pattern this pulley takes its inspiration from.
• Are the timing marks readable with the engine in the car? They run the full 360 degrees of the pulley edge with the F2 logo at TDC, so there is a mark in view regardless of where the engine stops.
