This is the real thing: a one-piece forged OTTO FUCHS wheel, made in Germany and imported through the official US distributor. The 15x6 ET36 is the size that defined the early 911: the front wheel on most 1969–1989 cars and the all-round wheel on many early ones. If you are restoring a long-hood or impact-bumper 911 and want the correct wheel rather than a cast copy, this is it. Part numbers: FE150601303671S (silver) and FE150601303671B (satin black).
Size: 15x6, ET36 = 4-15/16 in backspacing (4.92 in), 5x130
Special order
Most sizes are in US stock and ship in about 5–10 business days once we confirm stock. If your size or finish isn't in US stock, it can be backordered and imported from OTTO FUCHS in Meinerzhagen, Germany, where these wheels are forged — typically 8–10 weeks.
US stock as of Nov 5, 2026 — Silver: in stock · Satin black: in stock
Please call (657) 438-7002 to confirm stock and lead time before ordering.
Price is per wheel. A set of four is 4 × the price shown: $5,279.80 for four at $1,319.95 each.
Genuine Fuchs, from the company that made the original
These wheels are made by OTTO FUCHS, the family-owned German forging company founded in 1910 in Meinerzhagen, Germany — the same company that created the original Fuchs wheel for Porsche. The five-spoke forged aluminum wheel debuted on the 1967 Porsche 911S, the first lightweight forged wheel fitted to a production car and about 3 kg (6.6 lb) lighter per corner than the steel wheel it replaced. It became the signature wheel of the classic 911 and 930, and OTTO FUCHS still forges it today.
The Fuchs Evolution (15" and 16") keeps the original design in the original sizes for classic 911s, 912s and 930s. The Fuchs Retro (17" to 20") brings the same look to later Porsches with bigger brakes. Every wheel we sell is new production, forged by OTTO FUCHS in Germany and imported through the official US distributor. Not a replica, and not a used vintage wheel.
Features
- One-piece forged aluminum, made by OTTO FUCHS in Germany. Forged, not cast, and not a reproduction.
- Fuchs Evolution: the classic Fuchs design in the original 15- and 16-inch Porsche sizes and offsets for the 1965–1989 911, 912E and 930.
- Two finishes: Silver (FE150601303671S: silver anodized center with satin black spoke windows and a silver anodized lip) or Satin Black (FE150601303671B: satin black center with a silver anodized lip).
- Anodized lip on both finishes, so there is no paint or clear coat on the lip to chip.
- Hub-centric 71.5 mm center bore that locates on the Porsche hub, so the wheel centers on the hub and not on the lug seats. No hub rings needed on a 5x130 Porsche.
- 5x130 bolt pattern.
- What's in the box: wheel only. Center cap, lug nuts and valve stem are sold separately; ask and we will quote the right hardware with your wheels.
- OE-quality fit for the confirmed cars listed under Fitment, at the offset OTTO FUCHS specifies.
Fitment
OTTO FUCHS lists this size for the 911 F- and G-model with 185/70 R15, 195/65 R15 or 205/50 ZR15 tires. Porsche Classic lists 6Jx15 ET36 for early 911 models. It replaces original Porsche Fuchs 901.361.012.06 (early) and 911.361.020.10 (late).
- CONFIRMED: Porsche 911, 1965–1989 (911, 911T, 911E, 911L, 911S, Carrera 3.0, 911SC, Carrera 3.2). Front wheel on cars running 7J or wider rears; all four corners on cars that came on 6J all round. Tires: 185/70 R15, 195/65 R15 or 205/50 ZR15. No spacers.
- CONFIRMED: Porsche 912E (1976). Front or all round, same tire sizes. No spacers.
- CONFIRMED: Porsche 930 Turbo, 1975–1977. Listed by the US distributor. NOT CONFIRMED on 1978–1989 930s: the later big-brake cars were built around 16-inch wheels and a 15-inch wheel may not clear the calipers. Call us to check your car.
- NOT CONFIRMED: Porsche 912 (1965–1969) and 914-6. Both are 5x130 and period charts show 6x15 Fuchs on them, but the US distributor does not list them for this wheel. Call us to check your car.
- NOT CONFIRMED: 944 and 968. 5x130, but not listed for this size and offset. Call us to check your car.
- Does NOT fit as delivered: 356, 914 (4-cylinder), 924 and air-cooled VW. Different bolt pattern. It only bolts on with a 5x130 conversion, which Fuchs does not confirm. Call us to check your car.
Pairs with: the Fuchs Evolution 15x7 ET23.3 as a rear on cars that run 7J rears.
Not sure what your car needs? Send us your VIN or a photo of the back of your current wheel and we will check fitment before we order. Parts and fitment: (657) 438-7002.

Offset and backspace, in plain terms
Offset (ET) is the distance in millimeters from the wheel's centerline to the face that bolts to the hub; ET36 puts that face 36 mm outboard of center. A higher ET pulls the wheel in toward the strut and brake; a lower ET pushes it out toward the fender. Backspace is the same idea measured in inches, from the mounting face to the inner lip: 4-15/16 in (4.92 in) on this wheel. ET36 is what the 911 front strut and fender were designed around, so this wheel goes on with no spacers. More in our wheel fitment guide and the wheel book.
Shipping and returns
Each wheel ships in its own box by insured UPS Ground with a signature required. Shipping is calculated per wheel at checkout. Fuchs wheels are not part of the $250 free-shipping offer. Local pickup in Orange, CA is free.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What Fuchs wheel fits a 1965–1989 Porsche 911? The Fuchs Evolution 15x6 ET36 (FE150601303671S/B) is confirmed for the 1965–1989 Porsche 911 in all variants — as the front wheel on cars running 7-inch or wider rears, or all four corners on early 911s that came on 6-inch wheels all round. It references original Porsche part numbers 901.361.012.06 and 911.361.020.10.
- What tire size fits a Fuchs Evolution 15x6 ET36 wheel? OTTO FUCHS lists 185/70 R15, 195/65 R15 or 205/50 ZR15 for the 15x6 ET36 on the 911 F- and G-model. The 185/70 R15 is closest to the original diameter; the 205/50 ZR15 is a popular modern fitment that keeps the speedometer accurate.
- Can I run Fuchs Evolution 15x6 wheels all four corners on an early 911? Yes — many early 911s (1965–1968 and some 1969–1973 cars) left the factory on 6-inch wheels all round. The 15x6 ET36 is confirmed for all four corners on those cars with no spacers, in 185/70 R15 or 195/65 R15.
- Do Fuchs Evolution 15x6 wheels fit a 1976 Porsche 912E? Yes — the 15x6 ET36 is listed by the US distributor for the 1976 912E, which shares the 5x130 hub and G-body shell with the 911. Front or all four corners, same tire sizes as the 911, no spacers.
- Are these new Fuchs wheels or vintage originals? These are new-production wheels, forged by OTTO FUCHS in Germany using the same process as the original 1967 911S wheel. They are not vintage originals, not remanufactured cores, and not reproductions. Every wheel ships new in its own box.
- What rear wheel pairs with the 15x6 ET36 Fuchs Evolution? On impact-bumper 911s running a staggered setup, the 15x6 ET36 serves as the front and pairs with the Fuchs Evolution 15x7 ET23.3 rear. On early 911s running 6 inches all round, the same 15x6 ET36 is used front and rear.
