- Included: One brake line retaining clip.

Why It Matters
Brake lines that are not held in their clips vibrate, rub against the body and chafe through, which leads to a leak and a sudden loss of braking. Original clips go brittle and break when old lines are removed, and many restored Split Buses end up with lines held by zip ties. When you replace brake lines, new clips put them back where VW intended. Original-style plastic clips also keep the restoration looking correct under the van, which matters on a judged Split Bus, and they cushion the steel line so it does not rattle against the body. Because the clips are so cheap, it makes sense to buy a handful and replace every one you find cracked, faded or missing while the van is up on stands for brake work.
Installation Notes
- Route the brake line along its original path before fitting clips.
- Press the line into the clip without kinking it.
- Replace every brittle or broken clip along the run, not just the obvious one.
- Make sure lines clear exhaust, moving suspension and sharp edges.
- Bleed and test the brakes after any brake-line work.
- We do not publish torque values here; use the factory workshop manual for your vehicle.
