This is a conversion: the hood has to be cut for the filler surround. It is not a bolt-on replacement for the stock side filler.

Why It Matters
The RSR center-fill filler is the classic race look on a 914: a polished cap in the middle of the front hood instead of opening the lid to fill up. It also lets you fuel quickly with the hood closed, which is why it was used on race cars.
Because the kit is complete, you are not hunting for the neck, surround and cap separately. JP Group is a Danish maker of replacement and reproduction parts for classic Porsche and Volkswagen, and its Dansk and SSI lines cover hard-to-find Porsche exhaust and body parts. EMPI is JP Group's US distributor. Washburn's Metal in Orange, California lists each part with its real OE and JP Group reference numbers so you can check it against your car before you order.
Installation Notes
- Have the hood cut and the surround welded by a body shop that has done these before.
- Line the filler neck up with the tank opening before marking the hood.
- Check the cap seal and the neck connection for leaks with the tank full before driving.
- Keep sparks and heat well away from the fuel tank: remove the tank or work only on the removed hood.
