JP Group Window Scraper, Inner Right (Window Slot Seal) | VW Beetle Convertible 1970–1979 | OE 151 837 472 (JP-8530-0)
Short answer: JP Group JP-8530-0 is the inner window scraper, the felt-and-rubber strip on the inside of the door slot that wipes the door glass as it goes down, for the right front door. EMPI lists the 1970–1979 VW Beetle (front right inner) and titles the part for the Type 1 convertible, which matches the 151 convertible OE prefix. It replaces OE 151 837 472, JP Group reference 8186000480. Sold each.

| Any | Left door | Does not fit: right side only |
| Any | Outer scraper | Not this part: this is the inner (cabin-side) strip |
Fitment comes from EMPI, the US distributor for JP Group, checked against the OE number. EMPI's description calls it a "right-side window slot seal".

What's Included
- One inner window scraper, right
Not Included
- Outer window scraper
- Scraper clips or staples
- Left-side scraper
- Door seal (JP-8519-0 for the right convertible door)
Why It Matters
When the felt on the inner scraper wears away, the door glass rubs on bare metal and scratches, rattles in the door at speed and lets rain run down the inside of the glass into the door. On a convertible, where the door glass seals directly against the top, a worn scraper also lets the glass move and the top seal leak. The scraper is cheap and quick to change when the door panel is off.
JP Group is a Danish maker of replacement parts for classic Volkswagens and Porsches, sold under the JP Group, Dansk and Classic names, with EMPI as its US distributor. Washburn's Metal in Orange, California lists each JP part with its VW OE number and JP Group reference so you can check it against your parts book before you order.
Installation Notes
- Remove the door panel and lower the glass fully.
- Pry out the old scraper and its clips carefully; do not bend the door slot flange.
- Fit the new scraper with new clips, pressing it down evenly along its length.
- Run the glass up and down a few times to check it moves freely without binding.
