Vintage Speed "Elizabeth" Bus Shifter: 18K Gold-Coated Brass, 304 Stainless and Titanium
Some Buses deserve jewellery. The Elizabeth is Vintage Speed's showpiece shifter. It has real brass components coated in 18K gold, 304 stainless steel construction, titanium bolts, an adjustable CNC-machined base and an ivory knob on a brass thread. It is built for a concours Split, a period-perfect Barndoor or a Bay Window that gets as many photos as miles.
King Performance sells the Elizabeth for all three generations of the air-cooled Bus. It is made by Vintage Speed, and we offer it at King's price. Choose your Bus type below.

Installation notes
Order the version for your Bus. Pre-1960, Split and Bay Window Buses use different shifters, and each version is built for its own generation. The Elizabeth installs at the factory shifter location. Use the adjustable CNC base to set the gate position, then confirm every gear and reverse engage cleanly before driving. Refreshing the shift-rod bushings and coupler at the same time gets the full benefit from a precision shifter. Handle the gold-coated parts with clean gloves and polish them only with a soft cloth. Returns: King Performance charges a 25% restocking fee on this shifter. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.
