Porsche 911 parts, by year and by what your car actually shares
This collection covers the air-cooled 911 and the four-cylinder 912 together, because through the 1960s they were largely the same car with a different engine in it. Our sheet metal is catalogued 1965-1973 on the 911 side and 1965-1969 on the 912 side, and that overlap is exactly where a single panel listing covers both cars. Later years diverge: 930 fitment in this catalog starts at 1975, and 911 fitment runs through 1989.
Three things to pin down before you order
- Year, from the chassis number. Our 911 chassis decoder reads the early six-digit numbers, 1964 to 1966; from 1967 on we place cars by hand. The 912 decoder covers 1965-1969 and tells you Porsche-built coupe, Karmann-built coupe or Targa from the number alone.
- Displacement, not just model year. Carburetion is sized to the engine. PMO sets in this catalog run 40mm for 2.0-2.4L and again for 2.4-2.7L, 46mm for 2.8-3.0L and for the 3.2-3.4L Carrera, and 50mm from 3.5L up. Confirm what is actually in the car first.
- Body style. The Targa and the 911S both arrived in 1966, so coupe and Targa part numbers separate from that year forward.
We make the pieces nobody reproduces
Washburn's Metal is a metal shop first. We cut, form and weld in-house in Orange, California, which is why so much of this catalog is structure and repair sections rather than trim. If the panel you need was never reproduced, we can make it, or graft a good section into what you have. Send photographs and the chassis number and we will tell you which it should be.
