Short answer: EMPI 16-9915-0 is a pair of 3/8 in (9.5 mm) aluminum wheel spacers in the 5x112 pattern, for the 1971–1979 VW Bay Window Bus. They push each wheel out 3/8 in for wheel or tire clearance or a wider stance. Because the Bus uses studs, the stud length must be checked after adding a spacer. Sold as a pair, enough for one axle.

Why It Matters
A thin spacer is the easiest fix when an aftermarket wheel's offset puts the tire too close to the suspension, or when you want a slightly wider track. On a stud-mount Bus, the wheel nut must still engage enough thread after the spacer is added; measure before you drive.
Install Notes
- Clean the hub face.
- Check that the nut engages at least as many turns as the stud diameter after the spacer is fitted.
- Torque wheel nuts to spec (Ratwell lists 94 ft-lb for the 1971+ Bus) and re-check after 50 miles.
