JP Group Heater Boxes for the Fuel-Injected VW Beetle, 1975–1979 (JP-8219-0 / JP-8220-0)
From 1975 the US-market Beetle went to fuel injection and a catalytic-converter-era exhaust, and the heater boxes changed with it. Carbureted 1300–1600 heater boxes do not fit. That leaves late-Beetle owners with few good options, and it is why a rotted FI heater box so often ends with the heat simply disconnected. JP Group makes these as an OE-pattern replacement for the 1975–1979 fuel-injected 1600, to bring back cabin heat and defrost and keep exhaust out of the car.

Installation Notes
- Use new port, heater box and catalytic-converter/muffler gaskets, and soak old hardware in penetrating oil well ahead of time.
- Check the flaps open and close fully with the cables connected before the tin goes back on.
