VW Super Beetle Carbon Fiber Front Hood
Short answer: This is a rare, hand-made full carbon fiber front hood (bonnet) for the VW Super Beetle, with the twin-ridge hood shape molded in and a reinforced carbon fiber inner frame on the underside. It replaces your heavy steel Super Beetle hood at a fraction of the weight and is hand-built to order locally in Southern California, made in the USA.
Rare, hand-made and exclusive. You won't find this hood at a parts counter. Each one is hand-laid in carbon fiber, skin and inner frame, one at a time, and only after it's ordered. A full carbon Super Beetle hood is something very few cars will ever wear, and it's the first thing people notice when yours rolls in.
Hand-made to order: please allow 2–3 weeks construction time. Your hood is laid up for you after your order is placed, so it ships when it's built right, not before.
The Super Beetle's longer, rounder nose carries a big, heavy steel hood. This one is real carbon fiber inside and out. The outer skin carries the factory twin-ridge styling under a deep gloss clear, and the underside is reinforced with a molded carbon fiber frame, with ribs, hinge mounting areas and a stiffening crossmember, so it holds its shape and closes solid, not floppy. It's the centerpiece of a lightweight carbon fiber Super Beetle build.
Carbon fiber hood features
- Rare and exclusive: hand-made one at a time, only to order, never mass-produced
- Extremely lightweight: full carbon construction, a fraction of the weight of a steel hood
- Extremely durable: stiff, strong, and won't rust, dent or fatigue like sheet metal
- Reinforced underside: molded carbon inner frame with ribs and a crossmember for rigidity
- Factory styling: the Super Beetle twin-ridge hood shape in a deep-gloss carbon finish
- Made in USA: hand-built locally in Southern California
