Why It Matters
A wheel set with one odd cap looks wrong from across the parking lot. EMPI makes the GTV II cap in three finishes, and this is the finish EMPI shows on the GTV II wheel. It is billet aluminum, not chrome-plated plastic, so it holds up to washing and sun the way the wheel does.
Install Notes
- Clean the wheel's center bore so the cap seats evenly.
- Set the cap in the wheel center and snug the Allen set screws evenly. EMPI does not publish a torque value; do not over-tighten.
- To remove, back the set screws out evenly before lifting the cap. Prying on one edge can mark the wheel.
- Check that the cap clears the axle nut, grease cap or spindle before you drive.
