Why It Matters
Bare velocity stacks look purposeful right up until the grit they pull in scores a cylinder wall. This oval air cleaner guards an HPMX, Weber IDF or D-Series carb on a 914 without choking the airflow those carburetors are built to move.
Installation Notes
The air cleaner mounts over the carburetor throats. The element is serviceable, so clean it and refit it rather than replacing the whole assembly.
