Why It Matters
The factory generator stand was never designed to carry a modern alternator, and shim-and-hope fixes end up eating belts and cracking tin. This stand holds a 12V alternator square and true on a Type 1 case, with the integrated strap doing the clamping instead of a hose clamp, and you keep an oil filler where the stand sits.
Installation Notes
Measure your alternator body before ordering; the stand accepts most 12V alternators measuring 103–105 mm across. The optional 1/4-18 NPT breather port can be used for improved crankcase ventilation when your build wants it.
